Large Disk Usage With Endpoint 11

After noticing that Endpoint 11 was using a lot of disk space specifically in the Symantec Inetpub folder. Steps on setting the log retention period and the number of days to keep past updates.

The steps to change the values are below.  

 To configure log settings for the servers in a site:  In the console, click Admin.On the lower left, click Servers.Select the site you want to configure.Under Tasks, click Edit Site Properties.On the Log Settings tab, set the number of entries and number of days to keep log entries for each type of log.

Description: Users are unable to connect to a wireless connection when using Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA).

Description: Windows Shares on the SBS machine become unexpectedly unavailable to remote workstations

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Client install was run directly from the Symantec Endpoint Protection CD menu. This installs an unmanaged client, which has a firewall rule active to block Windows Networking traffic.

 

Description: After an undefined period of time, workstations which are accessing Windows Shares on the Microsoft SBS, lose connection to them. From this time, no network drives can be mapped to the server. Note: this is a known product issue.

 

 Description:DHCP server traffic becomes blocked to and from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and workstations cannot get an IP lease.

 

Description: Slow performance after Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is installed

Resolution: Symantec recommends 2 Gigabytes of RAM or more for optimal performance of the management sever.

 

Description: An unmanaged Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 client cannot access shared network folders when network threat protection is enabled. By default, the ports required to browse shared network folders are blocked by default on an unmanaged device.

Resolution: To enable network file and printer browsing, complete the actions below to resolve this issue:
